Irresistible

I've come across this idea...could God ever find us irresistible? It is such a strange idea, since we are but mere dust on earth! How can God find us irresistible? Well, in the Bible, it talks about how God took Enoch up to be with him, and Enoch never faced death, God found him irresistible.  I wonder if there were times in my life, when God saw me and said: "I can't wait for her to be here with me."  I truly hope so. I want God to find me irresistible.  Why not?

It is a terrible thing that we have fallen into this awful routine idea that "God loves me" but we fail to understand the immense meaning of that phrase. What if we changed it to, "God finds me irresistible"?  It even sounds "too personal" because although we claim to understand the phrase, "God loves me," we still cannot grasp the full depth of what that really conveys.   His love makes us irresistible :) In the "love" sense of the word.  Irresistible in that yes indeed He cannot wait to see you... Jesus even said his Father was preparing a place for us! Sigh... what a truth! To think the Creator of the universe would care so much for us as to prepare a place for us, so we can be with Him forever!

Oh I cannot wait!!

Feeling loved

Everything changes the moment we feel loved. It is like we have an inner motivation to live. We live for the ones we love.  What we love eventually becomes what we worship. What we worship rules our lives. Feeling loved is important and natural.  We need to feel loved the same way we need to breathe. If you have ever felt this need you are not alone.  This need is important, for it makes us vulnerable to each other. We realize we cannot live in isolation. We conclude we are social beings, and as social beings we must care for one another. The only problem is that because of this vulnerability we enter into relationships with the sole purpose of feeling loved.  When this feeling is unmet, our relationships are broken. Because just as we need to feel loved, we have a sinful nature that makes us hate, envy, and hurt those whom we want to love.  What an irony! To hurt those whom we love!

The answer... JESUS!!

When we realize that only He can give us the love we need, we stop looking for it in other people. All we want to do is love, and it is a pure love because we are not expecting anything back, because we have everything we need, absolutely everything we need, in Jesus!

Crazy huh?

I don't even know how to put it in words! But the moment we realize we are loved by God, it is the moment we stop seeking others to fulfill that emptiness inside of us! Our whole lives turn around completely. Wow... to want to love without expecting anything in return...what a love! A divine love!
